SENNEH-KURDE carpet (Persia), late 19th century Dimensions: 221 x 132cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on wool foundation. An anthracite field supports a "Herati" design composed of a semiset of multicolored stylized florets. Wide brick border flanked by two bluish counter-borders, all three with polychrome geometric plant garlands. Beautiful archaism (minor wear).
