Magnificent ISPAHAN carpet, (Iran), late 20th century. Dimensions : 270 x 192cm. Technical features : Wool velvet on cotton backing. A ruby field hosts large ivory and old gold corollas, set on interlacing plant foliage. Two ivory counter-borders with garlands of flowers frame the main lemon-yellow border with a succession of ivory blossoms. Signed in a small cartouche. Post-modern graphics and palette.
