AFCHAR carpet (Persia), 1st third of the 20th century Dimensions : 165 x 114cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on wool foundation. A jagged navy field, sown with central flowers, birds and trees of life, hosts two columns of three lozenge-shaped medallions, crenellated in brick and vegetalized. The frame is segmented into five borders, one in speckled ivory with oak leaves, two with polychrome double serrations and two with bayadère bands. Beautiful ethnic decoration.
