SAROUK gallery carpet (Iran), late 20th century Dimensions: 287 x 80cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing. The salmon-colored field of this gallery is decorated with a "Herati" design, consisting of a trellis of delicate flowers on multicolored plant stems. The midnight-blue main border is interlaced with floral scrolls, flanked by two ivory counter-borders with garlands of florets. External navy braid. Beautiful set.
