MIR-SARABEND carpet, (Iran), 3rd third of the 20th century. Dimensions: 143 x 101cm. Technical features : Wool velvet on cotton backing. A jagged brick field, sown with small bluish botehs, hosts a diamond-shaped medallion with ivory vegetation. Four similar ivory spandrels complete the ensemble. Ivory border with stylized undulating garland. Counter borders with positive-negative two-tone chess pieces. An attractive set.
