TABRIZ carpet woven in the famous workshop of master weaver DJAFFER (Persia), late 19th century Dimensions: 170 x 118cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing. Three borders with garlands of flowers and flowered vases frame an ivory field hosting an oblong parma and ivory medallion with a floral heart. Four spandrels with navy and parma scrolls enclose the whole. This pastel-toned rug is strewn with flowers.
