SEÏKHOUR carpet (Caucasus), late 19th century Dimensions: 193 x 119cm. Technical features: Wool velvet and wool backing. A polychrome "Samovari" (samovar) design, with a purple medallion and a "diamond" heart, stands out on a midnight-blue field. Five borders, two blue with undulations, one brick with "eagle heads", one with geometric motifs and the main one midnight blue with a succession of oak leaves and multicolored chalices frame the whole.
