Tapestry panel from Aubusson (France), early 18th century. Dimensions : Height : 360cm ; Width : 230cm. Technical characteristics : Wool and silk. In a rich, flowery undergrowth, in the shade of ancient oaks, two birds face each other, each on a different bank of a cascading river. On the horizon, on the hillside, you can make out a church and other buildings, with ducks splashing about at their feet. Flower garlands and acanthus leaves border. (Maintenance restorations, some natural oxidation).
