Teheran carpet (Persia), end of the 19th century Dimensions : 200 x 140cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. A fuchsia field with "thousand flowers" supports magnificent star-shaped corollas, laid in staggered rows. It is framed by a fuchsia border with rectangular boxes laced with flowers, interspersed with starry flowers and four counter borders ivory and navy garlands of flowers. Bright palette and beautiful mosaic.
