MELAYER carpet (Persia), end of the 19th century Dimensions : 195 x 120cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on cotton foundation. Multicolored botehs by hundred surrounded by small flowers, the whole posed on a marine field, framed by four crenellated sky blue spandrels. A brick red border decorated with flowery garland.
