Silk KACHAN carpet (Persia), late 19th century Dimensions : 210 x 130cm. Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundation. An ivory field in ogive with fans, welcomes a decoration of paradise, composed of two graceful trees of life, with intertwined branches, blooming with different corollas all more brilliant and colored, the ones than the others. An elegant vase from which delicate floral stems emerge, sits in the center of this garden of Eden, surrounded by polychrome flowering plants. Accolades, fuchsia, and latticework of exuberant flowers and corollas. Six small borders with flowers and garlands surround the main one, fuchsia, with a frieze of floral stems in polychrome.
