KACHAN carpet (Persia), mid 20th century Dimensions : 316 x 216cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on cotton foundation. A magnificent multi-lobed rosette, starry, polychrome throne on a fuchsia field decorated with delicate multicolored flowering stems. Four spandrels with plant scrolls, navy and sky frame the whole. Three counter borders, ivory and turquoise, enclose the main navy, all four being garlands of flowers in polychrome. Fuchsia braid.
