Original ARDEBIL carpet (Iran), circa 1940 Dimensions : 320 x 244cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. On an ivory field is laid a sowing of stylized polychrome flowers, forming "chevrons". In the middle stands out a table with four feet on which is placed a basket of flowers. The vaults of the mihrab, of this prayer rug, are decorated with small plants. Five counter borders, four of which are garlands of flowers, highlight the main chestnut, crenellated and decorated with flowers.
