BAKHEISH carpet (Persia), late 19th century Dimensions : 400 x 162cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. A sowing of stylized and vegetalized Botehs, is lying on a large rectangular anthracite field. Two ivory borders with flowers, as well as two other bricks, with bluish "S", frame the main celadon green one with sawtooth branches, supporting polychrome starry flowers (natural oxidation)
