ÉRÉVAN rug (Armenia), circa 1970 Dimensions: 182 x 116cm. Technical features: wool velvet on wool foundation. A large crenellated hexagonal medallion in brick and ivory with pastel vegetation is set on an ivory field sown with Caucasian flowers and symbols. Wide segmented borders in four parts of old gold, brick and old rose with garlands of flowers, kotchaks and crowns. A fine example of Caucasian decor.
