AFCHAR carpet (Iran), 3rd third of the 20th century Dimensions : 190 x 148cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing. A "tomette" pattern of anthracite, ivory, chestnut and brick honeycomb boxes, decorated with repeating geometric shapes, covers the entire field of this rug, highlighted in ivory. The frame is composed of an ivory border with a garland of florets, flanked by two brick counter-borders with undulating vegetal swags. Beautiful graphics.
