SHOBI carpet (Pakistan), late 20th century Dimensions: 290 x 190cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing. A raspberry field sown with florets and small animals, supports alternating ivory entomological shapes and polychrome vegetalized old gold and emerald diamond medallions. The main ivory border features an undulating garland of stylized multicolored flowers, framed by two navy and brick counter-borders with a series of florets. Chess pawn highlights. Beautiful Lenkoran-inspired decoration.
